Help! I feel too sinful!

Posted by Amy on Jun 16 2012 5:10PM

These past few days, I've been letting other things get in the way of my personal time with God. I haven't been praying or talking to God as much, and I've been putting other things before him. It's like I've been spiritually dead. I feel so guilty about what I've been doing, and I've tried repenting and asking God for forgiveness for what I did, and for all the other sins I've committed. But whenever I repent, I get no peace. I still feel as guilty as I had before. And It feels as though I'm too sinful to come back to him--it feels like I've sinned so much, like he's not listening to me anymore. Of course, I know that's not true, but it just seems that way. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, and at this point I'm tired of trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. What should I do?

keep praying to god until you get your break through. it might not come overnight. but don't give up on god because he know u more than u know yourself. remember he do not give us more than we can bear and u are not alone in this spiritual struggle there are many other like u. because we wrestle not against flesh and blood. Paul had a similar experience in roman chapter 7

That's the very reason Christ died for you, me and every-one: He was nailed to the cross and paid the price for our sins. And though we might sin again, unwillingly, there's always forgiveness in the blood of the Lamb!Don't carry your burdens, take them to Jesus. He promised to set you, me and every-one free. Believe it.

The most important thing to remember is that God is so so so in love with you. He wants to spend time with you because of that. When you are in love, you want to be around that person all the time. That is how He feels about you and when we start looking at Him like that, then we are able to accept His forgiveness and His pure, perfect love. He gives us victory, but we have to want to be with Him, to not hurt the one we love, before we can claim that victory. Accept His love and you will be anxious to spend time with Him.

Feelings are a very desceptive thing. The Bible tells us there is a way that seems right to us but it leads to destruction. Sometimes this includes our good desires and the way we go about them. The first thing you need to remember is that when you repent God throw those sins into the depths of the sea, we are the ones that desire to go fishing them up. Second, remember that when we seek him he promises to be found by us. Don't make yourself too busy for God above all, he wants your faith, not just your feelings of peace (that he provides as a gift to us in the first place). Faith is things hoped for but not yet seen. That sometimes includes peace, joy and spiritual highs. So keep seeking him and cling to him like Jacob did till he blesses you. You may have more peace and blessings than you think right now.
