If someone masturbates, are they still considered a virgin? Or are they actually committing adultery?

@Saralyn Ok so I think I masturbated when I was 11 years old I had never heard the word before and didn't really understand what i was doing i was a 11 year old girl i didn't no about any of this I barely knew about sex! When i heard about what it was I stopped positive that it was wrong. Are you saying that I lost my Virginity, that i shouldn't have been the one to play the Virgin Mary at our Church even though i was picked because no one could question my purity! I have never to this day even held a boys hand romanticly or had a boyfriend or any of that stuff and you are saying that i lost my virginity unkowing. I don't know about that : (

No they're not virgins. We had a sex seminar at out church that went into all of these details. Sex is actually the usage of the sexual organ for pleasure (your pleasure or your partner's pleasure). so with that definition, Masturbation is a type of sex. So in other words, No they wouldn't be considered a virgin in the adventist world.
