I'm in high school and I'm taking a few college classes. Last quarter I took a chemistry class that was taught by, um, let's call him D. So, here's my problem: I really like D. I mean, I REALLY like him. I've found myself fantasizing about him and I would really like to get to know him better, but he's almost twice my age and he's my teacher. I know I shouldn't be thinking like this, but I can't get over D! Help!

Just a quick thanks for Tiffany's response to the "I'm in love with a professor" question. Before I became a pastor I was in my late 20s and an assistant professor of English at an Adventist college, and occasionally I found myself the focus of an adoring young gaze. I always made sure not to encourage these relationships, and I'm glad (and so, probably, are the young ladies who temporarily idolzed me). Because for 33 years I've been very happily married to a woman very near my own age, who shares my interests and concerns in mature ways which may not have been possible with a bigger age gap and fewer shared interests. -- Maylan Schurch

First off I think you should pray about it. Obviously feelings don't go away over night, and it is natural to have a crush on someone you look up to. But you shouldn't act on those feelings since that will get him into trouble (since you are a minor)!
