Hot topic of the week

I have a type of arthritis that makes my back stiff. It has also eaten away at the cartilage in my hip, which is my main problem with it. It can be pretty painful. I'm taking aleve every day, and have taken it for over 4 years. Recently, I found out that I should not run, jump, play sports, or do other high impact activity. At times, this can be very discouraging, because I used to love doing these things, and because my everyday mobility is sometimes made difficult or painful. So, here are my questions. Am I supposed to embrace this as a thorn in my flesh so God can make me strong through my weakness? I really don't see how being half lame and not being able to play sports fits in with a better plan that God has for me. At times, I feel as if God is wanting to hurt me, or is letting me be hurt. I don't see the purpose for it at all, and don't see how it can really have a purpose, or be the best thing for me. Also, I have heard that we should trust God a lot, and pretty

Picture Jesus (Feb 9) staff 2/8/2013
Ever made fun of a super-spiritual young person at your school or church? Maybe they know all the answers to those Bible trivia games. How do you picture Jesus when He was a teen?
1 Response View All/Respond
i know that when I was much younger, I would maybe laugh at those who shout hallelujah/praises aloud in church and it would be weird if it was a young person, but as I became older and more spiritually aware, I began to admire young persons who were serious about their religion. Jesus must have been quite a committed to His religious beliefs and to the mission He had come to fulfill.

sexting chichi 2/5/2013
Is sexting with just words bad? Like..just saying things to turn on your boyfriend or girlfriend a bad thing? as long as it goes no farther than that?
2 Responses View All/Respond
The idea of sexting is not something that we as Christians should do, as it soon leads to "fornication"(quoting KJV Bible). There are some boundaries in which we shouldn't even be crossing, the main reason being that we aren't ready for it. Sexting is one of the "red zones" that we should look out for. It opens up our minds to something we as teens shouldn't be thinking about.

Cutting LalaGirl 2/5/2013
I've asked for prayer but I was wondering..What exactly is wrong with cutting? I mean I know but I don't. People will always say the text don't make cuttings in your flesh for the dead..but I don't cut for the dead...I cut for other reasons..So what should I do as a young christian girl trying to live her life the right way?
1 Response View All/Respond
Weather you cut, are anorexic, over-eater, prostitute your body,drinker-smoker or just can't forgive someone who did you wrong, your body and soul where given to you as a testifying temple for God. You may not like the body you've been given or the circumstances. But your duty is to face those issues so that God can do his good and mighty work through you.
