So I'm in a relationship with a guy who was my close friend for awhile. I never thought that we would end up going out, but over time our feelings grew and when he asked me out I said yes. Our relationship is great and I'm happy, but my parents don't know about us and I'm sure I should listen to them and wait until college to date. I don't want to break up with him and potentially mess up a relationship, but I'm compelled to obey my parents wishes (which I didn't do in the first place)... What should I do??

What do YOU think?

i really like this article. lots of kids on myspace and facebook, xanga, and other blog websites are totally into themselves and how they can exploit their own sexuality. but it's such a fresh breath of air to see kids our age and older witnessing on those websites. keep it up!!

Reading this article made me think twice about my self. though many parents do not approve of their teenagers having a profile on the internet, you have to look the good side. For me i keep in touvh iwth all friends. Personally I don't add people I don't know or accept them. And I don't have another side of me on the internet. I agree that many people portray them self greater on the web than in person, i actually witness that my self. To sum it up be your self on the web and in person. I really did love this article.

i think that this article is right about the fact that people lie with their ages but i dont think its right when it portrays it as bad. Would you rather be raped?

i dont think that myspace and stuff like that are bad but you should be smart about it and not get carried away, real life is more interesting anyways. you have to care about your friendships and God more than what your myspace layout is.

Social networking sites is a reality of our lives. It has become an integral part of our daily social lives. This is especially true for the current young generation. Every day I personally check out what family & friends are doing across the world. This also gives a great evangelistic opportunity as stated in the article. More than ever before EFFECTIVE outreach methods should be used to reach so many young people on these social networking sites. There are so many "bad" things(especially on the net) out there that are corrupting youth daily globally. Lets put out positive messages of hope for people in a hopeless situation.
