Florida. For some of us it remains a fuzzy childhood dream. Maybe you came here during summer vacation when you were 8 years old. Remember Mickey Mouse? Roller coasters and dolphins? Beaches and palm trees? And lots of blue water? Unless you're lucky enough to live in Florida or have a grandma here, you probably never came back. Your only reminders of paradise are a couple seashells and some blurry family snapshots.
Well, you can keep dreaming about the Sunshine State, or you can move here. Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences (FHCHS) in Orlando will prepare you for a great health care career, give you plenty of hands-on experience, and send you into the workforce in as little as two years. Don't spend too much time at the beach, though, because we promise to keep you really busy for those two years.

Not interested in health care? FHCHS can still be the perfect place for you. We offer general education and prerequisite courses for students who wish to pursue a degree not offered at FHCHS. You can get a "jump start" on your college career without getting into tremendous debt. In fact, many students who previously attended an Adventist academy find that FHCHS can cost less than what they paid in academy.
At FHCHS you'll go to classes next door to the largest Adventist hospital system in the world, Florida Hospital. That means you'll do your clinicals in a highly respected facility known around the globe for quality. Florida Hospital is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s Best Hospitals. You'll learn the latest techniques and work with state-of-the-art technology. And when you're done, you'll be able to find a job just about anywhere (but you'll probably want to stay in Florida, right?).
Our degree programs include: Biomedical Sciences, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Health Sciences, Nursing, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Radiography. Our newest degree is a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia.
Our apartment-style student housing will give you a sense of independence. Basketball courts, tennis courts and a swimming pool are available to enjoy during your free time. Housing is assigned by gender, by program, and by age, and is based on availability – so apply early.
Careers in health care remain solid as the demand for trained professionals exceeds the supply. Our graduates are in great demand for employment in hospitals, clinics, and physicians' offices. In fact, we continue to set the pace by outscoring the national passing rates on licensure and credentialing examinations.
So here are the basics to remember: health care degrees, affordable tuition, great jobs, Daytona Beach, Disney World, Universal Studios, and sunshine. (And if you get hungry, the hospital cafeteria is open 24 hours a day.) If a career in helping people sounds like the thing for you, grab your surfboard and come on down!
