LindsayLo in Heaven
July 26, 2007
Okay, I'm done. Don't even lie. You are too. I've had enough of the LindsayLohan/BritneySpears/ParisHilton/NicoleRicci/the "non-Staras" and their drama. I'm sitting here watching CNN and they're running old clips of LindsayLo (that's what I call her) in the club, in her car, on the red carpet, leaving rehab, the infamous monitor on the leg pics. And, of course, that horrid mugshot from her most recent arrest for DUI and cocaine possession.
When I first heard of this recent arrest, I started thinking about all the ways that I could dis her crazy lifestyle--you know make jokes about how stupid she is. I did for a minute, and you know the media are having a field day with it all. But then I started thinking about how God might read what's happening in her life.
She's not in heaven, but she sure is in heaven, or, on heaven's mind. I don't think God would watch endless shows about her every mess-up and mistake. He wouldn't make fun of her crazy antics, or hound her with cameras. God is probably thinking of ways to bring her back to Him. He's schemin' to save that dizzy chick--by any means necessary--uh, just like He's doing for dizzy you and even dizzier (that ain't a word) me.
What if she gave her heart to Christ and decided to dedicate her life to, I don't know, volunteering with the homeless on skid row. Would the media cover that? They might take a hit of that, but they won't smoke that blunt for too long. The high they get from people doing good wont sell newspapers, magazines, advertising, or get them higher ratings. But celebrity construction and better yet, celebrity destruction? Now that's the kind of high that curls their toenails.
Today I'm gonna pray for LindsayLo. (And no, I don't think I'm wasting my prayers time). Not because she's more, or less, worthy of prayer than the people dying from violence in Sudan, Philadelphia, or the Middle East. I'm gonna pray for her because she is one of the millions of lost children who God's searching for.
You know, I wonder what great purpose led God to create LindsayLo. Here's hoping that she accepts Christ as her Savior and Lord. Here to hoping that she finds her destiny.
Let me know if you think I've lost it on this one.

I HAVE LOVED LINDSAY LOHAN SINCE I SAW HER ON PARENT TRAP ACTING AS SCHEMING TWINS. I STILL LOVE THE GIRL AND SEEING WAT SHE'S GOING THRU RIGHT NOW IS SAD AND I THINK THAT PRAYER IS EXACTLY WAT SHE NEEDS, PRAYERS THAT SHOULD NEVER CEASE. KEEP PRAYING. Wonderful initiative... KEEP CARING.

I wouldn't have thought about something like that but its really thoughtful of someone to actually take time to pray for the celes. They really need it and with God all things are possible! Lindsay could walk on the golden streets someday

hey youre on the rite track.i agree with you and think that stars need even more prayers cuz theyre faced with more temptations
- Re: LindsayLo in Heaven from Kiana, December 7, 2007
Cece, you are implying that by caring and praying for other human beings that we aren't focusing on Jesus Christ. Don't be ignorant...
- Re: LindsayLo in Heaven from shishi, December 7, 2007
no you have not lost it. Praise God that you found it. we should all be praying for each other. in the bible Christ prayed without ceasing and if our creater did that than we should too. to comment on what cece said... as christians we need not only pray for eachother butfor htose who dont have any one to pray for them (lindsay lohan) the thing is we dont know her maybe all those situations was a bad day with a lot of pearpressure. well to kkep our eyes focused on jesus is to pray without ceasing, keep our eyes upon Him and diligently study in His word.

Personally I don't care about Lindsay Lohan and I don't think that we should. We christians need to keep our eyes on the price that is Christ Jesus.

I don't think you've lost it. I mean you're even makin me feel guilty about makin fun of celebs' demises. SOme times we forget that they're regular ppl like u & me... sometimes they forget that too (LOL) but the point is: "God cares for them too, He died to save them too... THEY ARE OUR BROTHERS & SISTERS IN CHRIST AS WELL!" Here's to prayin 4 da celebs (ppl like us)! Thank you for inspiring me to think! ~ David aka Jaydee :)

This blog really puts things into perspective. Specifically, realizing that we are all God's children and fallen short of His glory. Notwithstaning our social status, we can all be reached by God and need him dependently. I'll pray for LindsayLo too and the rest in Tinsel Town.

With God all things are possible... Prayer is powerful and great things happen when His people pray.

We all have sinned at some point in our lives and I'm sure Christ didn't give upon us.Therefore we should also help each other as it says in 2nd Thessalonians 5:11. My weaknesses may not be yours and yours may not be mine. We all have one goal and that's to be with God so let's comfort each other.Keep on praying and may God bless you.

It's a crazy thought..."Lindsay in heaven" but those are just the kind of people God uses. People who are looked down by society; I'm sure God can transform her into a servant of righteousness! Cuz right now, she's a servant of sin...

I do not think you've lost it... in fact I agree.
- Re: LindsayLo in Heaven from April, July 28, 2007
I think you are doing the right thing praying for Lindsay Lohan because she needs prayer and I think that when people pray for her and all the other celebrities they will find there way to God soon. We all need Prayer !!!!
- Re: LindsayLo in Heaven from Jaydin, July 28, 2007
Well, I think that the "prestige" of being in the celebrity world got to her head. It is hard for me to believe that the same cute girl from "The Parent Trap" was doing cocaine and DUI. But I believe that God still has a work for her to do, and I hope desperately that she leaves this destructive path that she is on. Many stars have destroyed themeselves and their careers because of their way of "finding" happiness. I hope that the best will come for her.

Its really sad how some celebrities live their life. Like they think that drinking and drugs will fill some kind of void in their life. What they don't understand is that nothing will be able to complete them except for the love of God. I hope and pray that Lindsay, Paris, Nicole and all the others will find God, see Him as a real and powerful answer to their problems, and seek Him in prayer. People would be so much happier if they just had the love of God in their lives.
