At least once

December 7, 2005

We ALL have sinned . . . at least ONCE . . . and because of THAT sin, whatever IT was, however microscopic or universal, IT ALONE was enough to FOREVER keep any of us, from ever being righteous! This means, if you, of your own will and super human effort, were NEVER, EVAH to commit ANOTHER sin, from the moment that that ONE sin was committed to this very moment, you would still be completely and totally guilty before God as though you've sinned everyday til' now, from that same time!

This is because ONCE guilty of sin, righteousness CAN NOT spring from that source again . . . UNTIL MADE PURE or righteous once more!

This is the critical key so necessary for each of us to understand our total, complete & absolute need and dependence of and on Jesus!Jesus alone has NEVER, EVAH ONCE sinned, so Jesus ALONE is righteous . . . and righteousness is PERFECTION; as in perfect obedience to God's will expressed in the spirit and letter of the 10 commandment law.

Consider these text:Psalm 119:172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Deuteronomy 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

This is why Jesus says he came not to destroy the law but to fulfill. Matthew 5:17. He fulfilled the perfection the law requires; the requirement we at some point failed, if EVEN ONCE in the most harmless of offenses. This failure meant we had to die. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin are death. Note, it doesn't say: sins, or great sin but simply sin. Its worth noting that the dilemma, we on this planet are in, began with the seemingly harmless act of eating a piece fruit. The most simple test of loyalty God could give was failed and righteousness was lost. Jesus as a result, had to endure the most agonizing and grueling tests of loyalty in order for righteousness to be restored.

Romans 6:23 goes on to say that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus. Through Jesus, because he alone is righteous and deserving of life because he NEVER, EVAH sinned . . . not once. Believe (faith shown by works!) God and let him count the righteousness of Jesus as yours by faith. Consider these texts: Romans 4:3, Galatians 3:6 & James 2:23 which reads: And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

So do not let anyone tell you that perfection is impossible because by faith, Jesus has made it POSSIBLE for his to be lived out in you!
