-Re: Mandisa: Freedom from Joe, 11/27/2009
I totaly love this Album... Mandisa's. Here's a complete review of her album: My Deliverer is a powerful upbeat song I rated 5 stars. Next is a slower but mellow song: How Much, Then the next song is: He is With You, another song about when times are bad how we can trust God. That song was made into Mandisa's first Music Video. Then the song featuring Blanca from group 1, called Definition of Me. This song seems to be more based off of Mandisa's first album -True Beauty-. It is kind of upbeat but I liked it. Next is: Not Guilty, a song about Judgement Day and Christs atonement for us. Then one of my favorites, Leave it in the Valley. I loved it so much I tried to learn it on the piano. this song is perfect to me in everyway. Then: Victorious, this talks about having Christ by our side and how we will be victorious in everything we do. Next is: Broken Hallelujah, A slower song, perfect for the preformance tract to use in church... Then: Freedom Song, This seems to be one of the most popular songs on her album, other than My Deliverer. I liked it too, it was up beat and brought the message of her entire album together. Next is my other favorite: Dance Dance Dance, which was originally a song from Mary Mary, but I love her version more... Last but definitely not least is my favorite slow song: You wouldn't cry (Andrews Song). This song was inspired by a true story of a woman who was pregnant with a boy child she was set on naming Andrew. It turned out that the child died prematurely and the mother was close to giving up. Mandisa and her song writers wrote the song as a tribute to the departed child. So there is my review... I hope you buy Mandisa's CD Freedom, or get her MP3 album online... And during this Christmas season you might want to check out her Christmas album: It's Christmas.
